ข้อความมารวมกัน
พูดง่ายๆ คือ ประโยคความเดียว 2
ประโยคมารวมกันแล้วเชื่อมด้วย
co-ordinate conjunction (ตัวเชื่อมประสาน) ได้แก่ and, or, but, so, still,
yet, etc. และconjunctive adverb (คำวิเศษณ์เชื่อม)
ได้แก่ however,
meanwhile, therefore, otherwise, thus, etc.

ตัวอย่างเช่น
- Venerable Tawan can
speak English and he can speak
Loa.
ท่านตะวันสามารถพูดภาษาอังกฤษและสามารถพูดภาษาลาวได้
- Phramaha Charoen does not study
Loa yet he
can speak it.
พระมหาเจริญไม่ได้ศึกษาภาษาลาวถึงกระนั้นเขาก็สามารถพูดภาษาลาวได้
1.2 Compound Sentence (ประโยคความรวม
หรืออเนกัตถประโยค) ที่เชื่อมด้วย conjunctive
adverb
(คำวิเศษณ์เชื่อม) ได้แก่ however, meanwhile, therefore,
otherwise, thus, hence, nevertheless, etc.
ตัวอย่างเช่น
- Venerable Prakorng was
ill, thus he went
to see a doctor at
a hospital.
ท่านประคองป่วยดังนั้นเขาจึงไปหาหมอที่โรงพยาบาลแห่งหนึ่ง
- Jess
comes to see me
at a
temple, meanwhile
I teach her
Buddhism.
เจสมาหาผมที่วัดระหว่างนั้นผมก็สอนพระพุทธศาสนาให้เธอด้วย

จะเห็นได้ว่า Compound Sentence
เกิดมาจาก Simple Sentence
2 ประโยคมารวมกัน
แล้วคั่นกลางประโยคทั้งสองด้วย co-ordinate conjunction (ตัวเชื่อมประสาน)
และ conjunctive adverb (คำวิเศษณ์เชื่อม)
